Gary Thornton

B Eng(Hon) C Eng, FIET Technical Director

Gary joined DTC in 2013 and holds the position of Technical Director managing the technical aspects of DTC’s offshore transmission networks (OFTOs) in the UK (Blue Transmission and Diamond Transmission Partner projects) and in Germany.

Gary is a Director of DTC’s offshore transmission companies under Blue Transmission and Diamond Transmission Partners.

Matthew Pitts

Commercial Director

Matthew joined DTC in 2017 and is DTC’s Commercial Director managing the financial and commercial aspects of DTC’s offshore transmission networks (OFTOs) in the UK (Blue Transmission and Diamond Transmission Partner projects). Matthew is a Director of DTC’s operational offshore transmission companies under Blue Transmission and Diamond Transmission Partners.

Prior to joining DTC Matthew spent 25 years at EY where, after qualifying as a chartered accountant, his focus was on project financing.

Monica Mihwa Hwang

BSc (HON), FCCA Financial Controller

Monica joined DTC in 2014 as a senior accountant and is currently Financial Controller managing the financial, accounting and tax aspects of DTC group including DTC’s offshore transmission networks (OFTOs) in the UK.

Prior to joining DTC Monica spent 9 years working in accounting firms where she practiced and gained financial, accounting, audit and tax experience.

Atsushi Kadota

Business Development and Administration Director Diamond Transmission Corporation Limited (DTC)

Atsushi joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 2004, mainly dedicated to power business in various areas such as thermal power, coal power, onshore wind etc. in Japan, Europe and Middle-East.

He joined DTC in 2022 after stationing in Qatar for 4 years controlling finance, construction and operation in IWPP.

He is managing the financial and commercial aspects of OFTO’s in the UK as well as pursuing the new business development in transmission business.
